REDWOOD ALUMNI COUNCIL & ASSOCIATION

The Ad Hoc Redwood Alumni Association was established in October, 2006 to create an Alumni Directory and help organize Redwood's successful 50th Anniversary in April of 2009. The RAA is now under the auspices of the Redwood High School Foundation. The Foundation Board will include alumni representation to work for the benefit of Redwood High School. All fundraising activities will be administered through and for the Foundation.

Purpose of the Redwood Alumni Council & Association:

• Friend-raise and set up networks and communication among alumni
• Develop and maintain the Redwood Alumni Directory and Online Community by gathering alumni data develop projects that involve alumni (beautification of campus, ...)
• Develop projects that involve alumni such as campus improvement, booster activities, classroom volunteers...
• Work with the Redwood Foundation to raise monies to support scholarship, athletics, arts, academics, beautification, grants…
• Continue the process of nominating and selecting alumni for the Athletic Hall of Fame and the Avenue of Giants Distinguished Alumni
• Act as a resource for class reunions and events
• Facilitate communication among alumni: website; social networks; newsletter
• Act as a resource for the school: provide speakers, volunteers, job shadows, funding..
• Plan specific events that involve alumni (alumni basketball game, alumni clean up day, alumni fun day ...)

Membership:

• All alumni and former staff are members automatically
• Donations of $100 or more to Foundation by alumni will be recognized on this website

• Archives/History: categorizing the collection of alumni papers, photos and memorabilia
